U.S. Department of Energy Visits BlueOval SK Tennessee

Stanton, Tennessee – BlueOval SK was honored to host United States Department of Energy Deputy Secretary David Turk, Loan Programs Office Director Jigar Shah, and DOE team members June 29, 2023 at the BlueOval SK battery plant at BlueOval City in Stanton, Tennessee. 

BlueOval SK, Ford, and SK On representatives enjoyed talking about workforce development, jobs and more. Members of the Ford Land and Walbridge teams provided an excellent tour of the site! 

The DOE's Loan Programs Office recently announced a conditional commitment to loan BlueOval SK up to $9.2 billion toward the construction of three battery plants, one in Tennessee and two in Kentucky.
