BlueOval SK Donates $100,000 to Tipton County Schools
Tipton Co., Tennessee – BlueOval SK donated $100,000 to Tipton County Schools in West Tennessee to help students affected by recent tornadoes. Members of the BlueOval SK external affairs team attended a school board meeting May 11 to officially present the district with the donation.
The money will be used for school supplies such as textbooks, technology, and furniture in temporary buildings now housing students displaced by the March 31 tornadoes. Remaining funds will be used to provide uniforms and supplies for students who may be financially distressed.
“We know that schools help our communities thrive, and we want to help your district continue with its mission to create endless possibilities for the futures of Tipton County students,” BlueOval SK CEO Dr. Robert Rhee said.
The Ford Motor Company Fund, Ford’s philanthropic arm, and Walbridge also donated $500,000 to provide temporary structures to serve displaced students and staff for the remainder of the 22-23 school year.
