BlueOval SK Celebrates Juneteenth
Arlington, Tennessee – BlueOval SK celebrated Juneteenth in Tennessee and Kentucky on Wednesday, June 19. Tennessee employees gathered at the BOSK Recruiting Center in Arlington. BlueOval SK HR Director Neva Burke and Tennessee Plant Manager Tracy Church kicked off the event that included food and fellowship. Pastor Johnny Shaw provided an inspirational message. Employees enjoyed games and giveaways.
Kentucky employees celebrated Juneteenth with Dewster's Homemade Ice Cream at our office in Glendale.
Juneteenth marks the day when enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom, more than two years after signing the Emancipation Proclamation, ending slavery.
